The Architects Alliance served as Architect of Record to design a New Animal Shelter for the City of Jefferson. Daggett & Grigg Architects PC provided specialty animal shelter consulting and design services including shelter size for current and future growth and design of the kennel and cages. The building is a single story structure with cast-in-place concrete footings, foundations, and slabs. The superstructure includes concrete masonry units and wood stud framing with CMU and brick veneer and fiber cement facings, wood roof trusses, and an asphalt shingled roof. The building includes a sallyport with sectional overhead doors. Interior partitions are primarily CMU and wood studs with painted gypsum board.Specialty items include high performance coatings on walls, animal cages, and Polyurea type floor finish.
