The Architects Alliance, Inc. is a prolific firm serving clients throughout the Central Missouri region. Our strength resides in our ability to listen to the specifics of each project and build a team of professionals most appropriate for success. Our longevity is due to our attention to detail from design and funding through construction and post-occupancy assistance. We are available locally to assist as a resource or as our client’s contact to consultants and contractors who contribute to the project.

The Architects Alliance, Inc. is a medium-sized firm established in 1968 by Seth T. Evans, AIA (retired) and Roy J. Pallardy, AIA (deceased). Larry D. Brandhorst, AIA, has been with the firm since 1974 and a principal since 1980. In 2021, Abigail Steck Flippin, with the firm since 2015, and Leslie Backstrom, with the firm since 2004, became principals. In 2024, Curtis Goben returned to The Architects Alliance as a Principal with 12 total years with the firm. One principal will serve as your primary contact. We work collaboratively within the firm, thereby availing you of the strengths and experience of all principals and staff. We encourage clients to participate in the studio environment where our Principals, Architects, Project Managers, and Draftspersons strive for excellence.

The Architects Alliance has a proven track record of multiple project delivery methods, including competitive bidding among multiple general contractors, negotiating with a prime contractor, Construction Manager at Risk, and design-build. We insist upon exceeding client expectations and encourage contact with our references or visits to facilities designed by our firm. We take great pride in the number of clients for whom we have overseen multiple projects over many years.

Throughout the last six decades, The Architects Alliance has created a depth of experience unmatched in the region. Our individual projects range in size from under $1,000,000 to over $100,000,000 and include master planning, new construction and renovation. Our team has dealt extensively with educational, religious, government, recreational, corporate, financial and industrial facilities. As a firm local to Central Missouri, The Architects Alliance maintains immediate proximity to all our projects while assembling a team of specialty consultants focused on the unique nature of each situation.
